The Edward Jones Women’s Networking Series
Edward Jones has recently sponsored Women’s Networking Events across the country to provide quality networking opportunities for professional women to improve skills, share insights and meet like-minded peers. A recent event featured guest speaker Susan Reilly Salgado, who discussed ways to “Put Hospitality in Your Business.”
Create remarkable workplaces
Salgado teaches professionals how to use strategic and effective leadership practices to create and sustain a healthy and motivating company culture focused on great customer experiences. "Create remarkable workplaces where people will thrive. When employees feel valued and appreciated, you will get the best experiences for your customers. As leaders, we must set the example of being the best for our teams,” said Salgado.
In closing, Salgado described her recipe for creating a strong culture that will lead to great customer experiences. She described the approach as a “three-legged stool” composed of hiring people with emotional intelligence, providing them the resources they need to do their job, and planting them in a positive work environment. When you do all three, she says, you get an uplifting employee experience that leads to great customer experiences. Knock any one leg out, and the whole thing falls down. In the end, Salgado says, “It starts with us. It’s what YOU bring to the table.”
